Supreme Court Nominee 'Interest Groups'

The Washignton Post reports on a letter that Democratic leaders recently sent to President Bush:

"Interest groups are not entitled to an extraconstitutional veto over Supreme Court appointments," Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., and Vermont Sen. Patrick Leahy, the ranking Democrat on the Judiciary Committee, argued in a letter they sent to Bush on Friday.

Glad to see that the Democrats finally agree with Bush that the American Bar Association should get out of the business of 'ranking' judicial appointments....
