Judge's army stronger than Governor's army
According to blogs for terri, Jeb sent the Florida Dept of Law Enforcement down to seize Terri. As a courtesy, they called ahead and announced their visit.
The local police and the Sheriff's Department said they were not letting anyone in without the judge's permission.
Jeb's Charge backed down to avoid the physical confrontation. Apparently, there was no calculation of who the bystanders would support.
Posted by Justene Adamec at March 26, 2005 07:58 AM | TrackBackThere are a number of people in the Tallahassee capitol loop saying that Florida state senator paula dockery was "shopping" her vote on the Schiavo bill, last week, in exchange for support on her legailization of cheap, mail-order, wine, from outside of Florida bill.
There seems to be a disturbing possibility that paula thinks every vote is for sale, to get what she wants.
Thsi is the same senator that was said to have promised John Ostekevitch, a fomer representative, that she would raise 200k for his! campaign to capture an expected open State Senate seat, in exchange for his vote on her husband's rapid rail dream. The problem was, the former rep is a strong supporter of a psychaiatrist that wrote in European magazines of his support for the sexual molestation of children and tried to have this same psychiatrist testify as an expert for the DEPT OF CHILDREN AND FAMILY SERVICES.
If the rumors of paula's integrity (and Terri Schiavo's life) are for sale, it casts an ugly pallor over this whole sad episode.
Thank you for your strong support of right.
Posted by: Jay allen at March 26, 2005 08:01 AM (Permalink)My heart is SO heavy, This is surreal that one of the richest nations in the world is starving to death a woman who WAS NOT terminally ill, simply handicapped. This is a "right to be handicapped" case, not a "right to die." case. Friends. I am one who has prayed and emailed everyone connected to this case, and.as much as I hate to agree with Terri's dad that "It looks as if those of us who have wanted to kill her are getting their way." I will be glad to do anything else that you think can help save her life. But I want to pass on some disturbing info about Judge Greer and Monster Mike's lawyer, Felos. On talk show last night, ( O"Reilly Factor), i learned that Greer received substantial campaign promise from Felos! Also if you look up Pinellas County judges, you will find that George Greer is NOT a family lawyer, but a probate attorney! ( One who deals with estates and wills) I will bet the farm that Step 2 will be to help Michael get life insurance money!!) Monster has refused to respond to questions dealing with such a policy. I know that nothing we can do will bring Terri back in the event that she does die, but I think we shoud continue to help parents against these people. It will be a double whammy if Michael and his current "wife" can run off into the sunset with Terri's$ TThey need to (thru a new lawyer)go on and put a "hold "on Terri's estate. Obviously it won't bring her back, but it might thwart Monster Mike from getting ,what was probably. his primary goal in all of this! and it might allow the situation to be examined by a fresh set of eyes and perhaps, God willing, Greer, Felos, and M. Schiavo will be exposed! Also I heard that he wants to cremate Terri! Someone needs to advise parents to try to stop that as well. Naturally this should be up to the family, however ,if I were her parents, I would order an autopsy. IT just Might confirm that Michael physically hurt or tried to kill Terri and it just might prove to this world that she did NOT exist in a persistent vegetative state

While most probate judges make it through their careers without deciding a single case that would matter to anyone but the parties, Terri Schiavo is not the first innocent woman to die at the hands of her husband on account of "Judge" Greer's ignorance, arrogance, stupidity, evil, or some combination thereof. That dubious distinction belongs to Helene Ball McGee.
Posted by: Xrlq at March 26, 2005 11:26 AM (Permalink)As for what else to do, go to www.jkmi.com and read the one on Terri. Jesus has promised to protect the dying if we pray His chaplet at the bedside. We are spiritually putting ourselves at Terri's bedside. The One who said, "Come little girl," is in no way handicapped by Greer. Shall we all do an end run?

Posted by: MARY at March 26, 2005 02:41 PM (Permalink)The right to die is not the central issue, nor is it whether a husband or parents should have the right to decide. It seems to me the issue here is Michael Schiavo's veracity. There is sworn evidence that he has mistreated Terri, and that he has admitted he did not know her wishes. He has not submitted to a polygraph, and his "corroboration" is the hearsay of two members of his own family.
If Terri had died at the time of her collapse, there would have been an autopsy and the husband would have been a murder suspect. I am convinced that he had something to do with causing her condition and now he is determined that she will die and her body will be immediately cremated so that he can't be implicated. This man is lying.
Now, Terri has tried to communicate her real wishes. Barbara Weller has sworn that Terri has indicated she does NOT want to die. The judge has chosen to ignore that affidavit. So, in essence, Judge Greer is saying that Ms. Weller has committed perjury. Will she be charged with perjury and will she be disbarred? It seems to me that if the judge dismisses her statement, it is incumbent upon the court to follow through with a perjury charge, not only for Ms. Weller, but also for the nurses who have sworn that Michael Schiavo would not allow them to properly care for Terri and that he attempted to hasten her death. I feel that those nurses would be quite willing to undergo a polygraph. Why won't Michael Schiavo?
What will it hurt to even temporarily reinstate the feeding tube until this evidence can be re-examined and further evaluated? Judge Greer is aware of this conflicting evidence, but are the Florida Supreme Court, the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals, and the U. S. Supreme Court? Or are they simply indifferent or afraid to overturn the lower court's decision?
Now I ask, if the governor has the power to issue a last-minute stay of execution for prisoners, why can't he invoke that same executive privilege to stay the execution of this innocent woman? What is going on here is not only a tragedy, but a travesty, and there must be something that can be done.
"You shall not murder" Exodus 20:13 Deut 5:17
Murder=Intentional taking of human life; unlawful killing of a human being by another because persons are created in the image of God and human life is viewed as a sacred trust. Deliberately taking the life of a human being ursurps the authority that belongs to God. "Whoever sheds the blood of man, by man his blood be shed." Genesis 9:6 "...the murder shall be put to death." Num 35:16 "...no murder has eternal life in him."
I John 3:15. God established the law as a standard of righteousness; any violation of this standard is defined as sin. Any deviation from God's own righteousness is viewed as sin. Ultimately any sin is against God.
In Terri Schiavo case, she was not terminally ill, simply handicapped. Nobody has authority to let her to be starving to death. To kill her directly or indirectly is to commit sin against God, as Pilate crucified Jesus in the past. A person is a living soul. The soul means the entire human being in its physical life needing food and clothing. The basic meaning of the Hebrew is "throat". A person is not at any time viewed as a bodiless soul.
"Peter and other apostles replied: We must obey God rather than men! " Acts 5:29
Good thing Terri Schiavo was not related to Rep. Delay or she would have died years ago.
