THe Cheney conspiracy files

His own wife publicly disagreeing with him on policy.

UPDATE: Boifromtroy has the polling data that gives motivation to my theory that this is all one long setup to replace Cheney without disgracing him.

Gosh. My wife has never disagreed with me, in public or elsewhere, about anything. Ever. You're right: Cheney's GOT to go.

I am sure she has and that's why you're not vice president.

Seriously, my husband and I disagree all the time but not in front of a client on an issue on which he has authority.

Business marriage protocol is very different.

Spouses of officials should keep their mouths zipped when media maggots try to get a juicy tidbit of philosophic or policy discord between a married couple.

I wish Lynn would have told her inquisitors to take a flying leap when they tried to find something she disagreed with her husband about.

I don't give a darn what Lynn Cheney thinks about gay marriage any more than the darn I don't give about Laura Bush's variances with her hubby on abortion.

Does anyone here think the media would be so pumped up if they learned that a spouse of a prominent Democrat disagreed with them on some point of policy. Of course not. It's yet another of the double standards rife among the biased mainstream

Oops! I meant to say "mainstream media"

When I went to cut/paste the text to a spell-check, "media" didn't highlight, and so was lost to what I pasted to the 'post' window.

Quite frankly, I am tired of hearing about political opinions from the "First Lady" and "Second Lady"... who cares what they think? They weren't elected to anything.

Dennis Thatcher has to be the model political spouse. He was seen, but not heard.

I hope this discussion doesn't bog down the greater point that Lynn Cheney is right on this issue.

So who replaces Cheney? Condi Rice? She'd blow another outspoken first lady out of the water!

No she isn't.
