Another minor Cheney scandal:

FLASH: VP Cheney dropped his personal physician from his medical team, his aides said Sunday, as NEW YORKER mag reported the doctor has 'history of abusing prescription narcotics'... MORE...

Announced voluntarily by Cheney (who "dropped" the physician).

Not anything that can be considered real wrongdoing by Cheney.

Another item that can be cited as something that he doesn't want to distract from Bush.

A list of minor non-scandals. A plausible way to step down without disgrace.

CAVEAT: I know this is outlandish. It is after all, a conspiracy theory, and I am having fun with it. I do think there is a change that Cheney will step down. I wasr ight on the recall, wrong on splitting the state into two (although I think Schwarzenegger's governance made that a non-issue right away). We'll see where this one goes.
