I still think it is laughablely funny that this president is intent on FORCING freedom and democracy on a people who have never ask for it and do not want it.
with this quote from the National Geographic on Hugh Hewitt:
By mid-January of 2004, 270 mass graves had been reported. The Free Prisoners Society estimates that five to seven million people 'disappeared' in the past two decades, the majority of them Shiites.Posted by Justene Adamec at June 3, 2004 07:43 AM | TrackBack
Hey, maybe they liked being murdered en masse. If they didn't, they (or some of them, anyway) would have voted against Saddam Hussein in 2002.

We can't let a measly five to seven million take our eyes off the prize: Abu Graib. After all, we have a "rush to war" President to defeat this November.
Odd. I thought at least some of the Iraqis "asked" for freedom (and probably democracy, too) back in '92... and were promptly massacred.
I certainly think that a goodly number of them want freedom (and even democracy) now, for that matter.
If they really, really, don't want freedom and democracy, have no fear, commentor - it won't last. It might not even last if they do. But freedom is not a curse, or a hardship. Or, if it is a hardship, it's one like parenthood - worth every second.
