One of my favorite memories of growing up on the East Side of Manhattan in New York City is the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade on the West Side. I don't know why it's a fond memory. The clearest parts of the memories are how cold it was each year and how close the balloons came to the lampposts when the winds blew. Yet I miss it. One year, I'll take the twins back. In the meantime, here's the BFL version of this year's parade:
Strike Up the Band Barney
Let's lead off with our newest members:
eTALKING HEAD pokes holes in CNN's conspiracy theory.
Jockularocracy has an entry worthy of the Barney category as he describes his son's reaction to a Seiko commercial.
Showboat Float
Magnificent in scale and intricately detailed.

Wherever you traveled, check out Miller's Time and his post on Thanksgiving.
Speaking of magnificent in scope, check out Daily Pundit's explanation of Job One in the world.
And for magnificence of a different kind, Irish Lass recommends the Sacramento home tour.

I still don't know why So Cal Law Blog is so lightly read. Is someone just sabotaging those SiteMeter stats? This week, he's got news for lawyers and nonlawyers alike, as he reports on the bar passage rate and the reason behind the Thunder Mountain Railroad crash at Disneyland.
Xrlq needs no intro to readers of this blog so just check out his Thanksgiving
greeting.

Presents under the tree is fun but so is the 1st Annual Blog Scavenger Hunt hosted by Master of None.
Finally, Slings & Arrows reminds us of California's best Christmas present -- Arnold. Even the Clam has to admit he's better than old what's-his-name.
