Protest the License

It's quite possible that come January 1, the various challenges to the law allowing illegal immmigrants to obtain drivers' licenses will not have succeeded yet. At that point, my driver's license is devalued. Therefore, as of now, the only purpose for which I will use my driver's license is driving. When someone asks for my id, I show them my US Passport. Now, no one thinks anything of it. However, if more of us do that and spred the word, eventually you will get the response "I am seeing a lot of Passports lately. Why is that?" and you can tell them.

Be careful. Be sure you're transporting it inside of some waterproof container. I used mine as my sole form of ID for several years and ended up having to get it replaced due to water damage.

Passports are also more easily stolen.

Besides, what are you protesting here? Your state ID doesn't say anything more about you than the state knows your name, address, picture, age and date of birth... Just like right now.

...Or are you inept enough to think that foreign nationals don't already get state IDs and licenses?

I think this is an awesome idea. What better way to devalue the irrelevance of the state's monitoring system. I will use my passport. Please contact me with any further notifications.
