We completed the Mystery Trip. The first night was at Laughlin, NV, a town neither girl knew existed. So in the dark, we drove through the Nevada desert while they worried profusely. Laughlin was a pleasant surprise and we took advantage of the buffets for dinner and breakfast before heading on to the Grand Canyon.
The Grand Canyon is a pretty cool destination, but even cooler when it is a surprise and you don't build up any expectations along the way. It was cold there and we got some snow.
We ended in Las Vegas. I am happy, very happy, to announce that my daughters are huge Star Trek fans and they loved the Star Trek Experience, lapping up the museum and the characters walking around the way the designers hoped people would.
We're home now and the chickens grew like weeds, except for the crippled one, who had other problems and didn't make it. Wait until Sunday Chicken Blogging!
