The Boi from Troy has the scoop on Spy Wiper, a group that apparently hacks your browser to try to get you to buy anti-hacking software. Pretty clever, huh? It seems they've hit Patterico, as well.
After my own (apparently unrelated) experience with browser hijacking last week, I recommend LavaSoft Ad-Aware. Thanks to the Clam for the suggestion.

Interestingly, I had just installed and run Ad Aware 6.0 less than 24 hours before my home page was hacked.

"Bricks through your glass? Call Acme Glass Company"
If all else fails, get HijackThis here:

And go to the forums at Spywareinfo.com

The people behind Spy Wiper are nothing but scumbags of the worst kind.

This will probably be the most fracking difficult thing i can think of to cure... a freind of mine is shipping me his harddrive for me to disect.
I hope to find the cause of this.
