SAN DIEGO -- Police issued an AMBER Alert Monday morning after a 4-year-old boy was abducted from National City.
Daniel Peralta was kidnapped from the 1700 block of E. 8th Street at about 9 a.m., according to a statewide alert issued by the California Highway Patrol. The boy is described as a Filipino, 3 feet 6 inches tall, weighing about 30 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a gray sweatshirt with a blue shirt underneath and blue pants with a yellow stripe. The boy has a scar on his forehead.
The abductor was believed to be driving a Nissan Quest minivan with California license plate 3EGF038. The van had tinted windows and a bumper sticker that read "I (heart) Latin Mass."
