Airline seat wars

Now for something completely different -- a new product designed to prevent the airline seat in front of you from reclining.

On the last two flights, I faced the reclining seat problem. On the first flight, the seat in front of me came back so far that the tray table was uncomfortably close. The flight attendant came by, saw the situation and asked the man in front of me to lift his seat. The second flight, since I was awake, I raised my knees whenever the seat in front of me started to recline. When it didn't recline all the way, the person stopped trying.

The only good solution to this situation is to design planes differently.

"The only good solution to this situation is to design planes differently"

The way that I 'solve' this 'situation:'

ME: "Excuse me, I don't mean to be rude, but your seat is in a bad position for me. There's no a lot of room to give up on these planes (chuckle). Would you mind putting it up?"

OTHER DUDE: Yea, no problem

ME: Thanks, I appreciate it

OR, OTHER DUDE: No, I really want to recline, thank you, and it's my seat.

ME: Alright. I just thought that I would ask. Afterall, I can't control how people misbehave, I mean, behave. Chump!

Fact 1: Reclining the seat relieves some of the discomfort of long flights.

Fact 2: If the person behind the recliner also reclines then he has just as much room as he started with.

Fact 3: A reclined seat in front of you makes meals more difficult to eat from the little trays.

Conclusion: Abstain from reclining during mealtimes but for the rest of the flight--everybody get back and relax.

There is only one way to solve the problem. Get rich and fly first class?
Really, in the Asian Market, most airlines have a routine that everyone eats, sleeps and watches movies at the same time. If you follow their routine, there is no problem.
