Now I have seen everything

I won't link to the website that sent me this spammail. Offered for sale are:

1. Heroin, in liquid and crystal form.

2. Rocket fuel and Tomohawk rockets (serious enquiries only).

3. Other rockets (Air-to-Air), orders in batches of 10.

4. New shipment of cocaine has arrived, buy 9 grams and get 10th for free.

5. We also offer gay-slaves for sale, we offer only such service on the NET,
you can choose the one you like, then get straight to business.

6. Fake currencies, such as Euros and US dollars, prices would match competition.

7. Also, as always, we offer widest range of child pornography and exclusive lolita galleries, to keep out clients busy.

Everyone is welcome, be it in States or any other place worldwide.

ATTENTION. Clearance offer. Buy 30 grams of heroin, get 5 free.
Prepay your batch of rockets (air-to-air) and recieve a portable rocket-lacuncher for free.

I can only hope that if I clicked on the link, there'd be a site telling me to repent but I won't click.

Does the URL of the site have an especially incriminating name, like www.e-nabler.com or something? If not, there's a possibility they are a legitimate business that someone is trying to smear. I'd run a WHOIS search for starters.

I think X is probably right -- that message is pushing the envelope even for spam.

It's a joke, and one that's been around for a while at that. See: http://www.gnu.org/fun/jokes/darkprofits.html

Rightwingers take this stuff seriously. Fear does that.

We lefties, get the joke. We're not afraid.

That;s an odd conclusion since no one took it seriously. If I had any fear, it was of a scam. I thought it was going to be a repent site and others thought it was a smear. Bennett, who is further right than I am, knew it was a joke.

I never guessed joke because I still can't qite figure out what's funny about it.

"We lefties, get the joke. We're not afraid."

Nice work, Otto. In only eight words, you have managed to confirm not one, but two common stereotypes about liberals. To wit:

1. A tendency to make wild, baseless accusations about the supposed motives of anyone who dissents from liberal orthodoxy. The other side couldn't possibly have valid reasons for holding a different opinion; they must be acting out of greed, fear, paranoia, xenophobia, racism, sexism, "heterosexism," or some other made-up ism du jour. It's much easier to take potshots at the messenger than to attack the message itself on the merits.

2. Obliviousness to real-world events. If you were paying attention to the news right now, you would know this is a really bad time for anyone on the left to be making fun of anyone else's supposed inability to appreciate a joke.

Oh, I don't know X. I hear the "butterfly menu" at Taco Bell restaurants is confusing the legions of Democratic customers who are clamoring to support Davis by ordering a chicken soft taco.

Who knows, maybe they'll get so confused that come October 7, they'll all show up at Taco Bell instead of their local polling places!
