5 days before the twins start 7th grade at the local high school, there's been a murder on school grounds. Now, the murder apparently has nothing to do with the high school and I'd like to pay it no more than a moment's attention. Unfortunately, I suspect this could become an ISSUE in this town.

Posted by: Seth at August 27, 2003 11:15 AM (Permalink)I went to school in Monrovia, just a stone's throw from La Canada (well, maybe a little more, but no more than 10 miles down I-210) in the 1980s, and we had a pattern similar to that: elementary school was K-5, middle school was 6-8, and high school was 9-12. When I was in fifth grade we lived in Glendale, and its system was K-6 elementary, 7-8 jr. high, 9-12 high school.
The system Justene is suggesting strikes me as peculiar, too.
